Q1. What if I only need maybe half litre milk per day? Do I need to commit to a quantity of milk?

We are open to flexible milk demands. You can request specific milk quantities to be home-delivered as requested. But requests must be made in time.

Q.2. Can I order larger quantities when I need more than my regular supply volume?

Yes, you can increase or lower the volume of milk as per your needs and requirements. It goes without saying that requests must be made in time.

Q3. Will I get milk in plastic pouches or bottles?

We are very mindful of the environmental impact of our dairy operation. We strictly use environment-friendly technology and resources. This is why we use glass bottles. Glass is also ideal when it comes to storage and transfer of milk and dairy products without adversely affecting its quality as many plastic and paper-based containers may do.

Q4. Do you charge for glass bottles provided by you?

Yes, we do. But the charges are nominal. Glass bottles provided by us help keep milk safe. Glass bottles can be recycled as well.

Q5. How come your milk is light and less dense as compared to other milk brands?

It is a misconception that milk with higher density producing more froth is better. Our milk is brought to you in its most natural state. We DO NOT add UREA, starch, vegetable oil, soaps and detergents to make our milk denser and more froth-producing.

Q6. What if I don’t find the quality of your milk satisfactory? When can I stop my supply?

To be honest, to fully appreciate the goodness and the taste of our Organic Non-GMO milk, you need to acquire the taste over a month’s time. After a month’s period, if you are still convinced that our milk is not up to your expectations, you can request the stoppage of your supply/subscription. No questions will be asked.

 

Q7. Do you have a mobile app to manage my subscription/plan?

Currently, we do not have a mobile app. However, we have plans in the pipeline to introduce an app for managing Shree Farms subscription plans in the near future. As and when it is introduced, proper announcements will be made on our website, through our social media platform and other appropriate channels.

Q8. How is your milk better than others?

Produced at Shree Farms, our milk is organic and non-GMO. Our milk comes from grass fed cows and buffalos. Milk obtained contains much higher Omega 3 fatty acids in comparison to other milk which are heavy on Omega 6 fatty acids. Omega 3 fatty acids are good for your heart and also provide resistance and protection from cancer and other autoimmune diseases. On the other hand, Omega 6-loaded milk is one of the principal reasons for heart diseases. Our milk also has better percentages of protein, calcium and carbohydrate.

Q9. Does your milk require boiling before using it?

If you need to store milk for longer periods, then we recommend boiling it on low flame. However, you can consume it raw as it arrives in our bottles.

Q10. Does your milk have that odd smell? Do I need to add popular additives of the likes of Bournvita, Horlicks Complan etc?

Fresh milk has no odour or aroma. However, as the milk gets stale, bacteria start germinating in them. It is those bacteria that give off the odd smell.  Our milk has no smell at all. So, you do not need to add self-proclaimed healthy drinks namely Horlicks, Bournvita, Complan and their likes. In fact, these additives contain extra sugar which may not be in the best interest of the health of your family.

We do not recommend adding these so-called health drinks to enhance the value of our milk. Our milk is loaded with a sufficient amount of Omega3 fatty acid, protein and carbohydrates.

Q11. How fresh is milk from Shree Farms?

Raw and unpasteurised milk is delivered at your door-steps within 4 hours milking. The milk is subjected to daily quality checks. At no time any preservatives are added to the milk provided to you.

Q12. How do you ensure milk is healthy and nutritious?

First the cows and buffalos on our farms are 100% indigenous breeds. They are well accustomed to the local climate. So, at no time, arises any need to adding any growth hormone or other unnatural chemicals in their diet. Therefore, the milk contains the natural balance of heart-healthy fatty acids, protein, carbohydrates and other macro and micro nutrients. Milk contains the healthy ratio of Omega3 to Omega 6 fatty acid making it fit especially to your heart.

Adhering to United States Department of Agriculture’s guideline, we do not use any antibiotics for our livestock from which milk is obtained.

Q13. Are there any preservatives in the milk added for their storage?

No there are no preservatives in the milk. At Shree Farms, as matter of quality policy, no preservatives are used or added to milk at any time. In fact, milk is delivered within 4 hours of milking.

Q14. Milk from which breed of cows and buffalos is delivered from Shree Farms?

At Shree Farms, all cows and buffalos are indigenous breeds. We have Murrah buffalos delivering milk with 6-9% fat content which is A2 grade milk. It is being reported that A2 grade milk is good for overall health as compared to regular milk.

At Shree Farms the other indigenous breeds of cows are Nili Ravi, Gir, Sahiwal Rathi, Red Sindhi and others.

Q15. Why should we consume organic milk from indigenous cows?

Milk from indigenous cows is best for growth – both physical and mental. than milk from high-yielding exotic varieties namely Jersey and Holstein. Indigenous breeds produce A2 grade milk. Traditional knowledge and science both agree that A2 milk not only provides better nutrition, it also affords other health benefits in comparison to A1 grade milk which is linked with allergies and serious health conditions.

Furthermore, organic milk from Shree Farms has lower quantities of iodine and selenium which is good for your thyroid. Additionally, Shree Farm organic milk has much higher concentration of Iron and Vitamin E. It is known that Vitamin E is good for your skin, eyes and immune system. Our body needs Iron for carrying oxygen, gastrointestinal functions, and maintaining body heat.

Q16. How much fat content is in the milk from Shree Farms delivered to me?

At Shree Farms we deliver whole milk. It naturally contains 3.5% saturated fat. So, it is creamier than skimmed milk.

Fat in the whole milk is better for infants between the age of 1 to 2 years, as they need a higher-fat diet for the growth of their brains. Calcium in the milk is also good for growing teeth and bone health. Adults who need more calories, especially ones recuperating from illness and injuries. Adults can include a high-fibre food items in their diet exclude other saturated fats laded food items for the rest of the day.

Q17. I am lactose intolerant. So, is A2 grade milk from Shree Farms good for me?

If you are lactose intolerant, even A2 grade milk will produce similar unpleasant issues. So, choose to include milk wisely. You can go for lactose-free milk, soy milk and coconut milk. Now a days Almond milk is also available. However, Hard cheese, probiotics, and certain varieties of curd and yogurt can work well for your health.

Q18. How many calories are there in one cup of whole milk from Shree Farms?

One cup (240 ml) of whole milk delivered from Shree Farms contains approximately 160 calories. One cup of regular milk contains only 150 calories. The calorie content on the whole organic milk is due to 8 gram of fats and 12 grams of 11 grams of carbohydrates.

Q19. Do I need to boil the milk before consumption?How much fat is contained in one cup of whole milk delivered from Shree Farms?

One cup of whole milk from Shree Farms contains approximately 8 grams of fat. It also contains 8 grams of protein. Besides being rich in fats and protein, whole milk from Shree Farms is naturally rich in calcium and potassium and Vitamin D.

Q20. What are the benefits of A2 Milk?

Regular milk contains A1 variant of beta casein protein. A1 milk has been related to allergies and serious health conditions including diabetes and heart disease.

On the contrary A2 milk has better ratio of Omega 3 to Omega 6 fatty acid. This is better for your heart. Secondly, A2 milk restricts Beta-casomorphin 7 thus protecting you from diabetes and other gut inflammation. Also, A2 milk is easier to digest than regular milk.
